Background
With hits like Party, My lover, Get to you and Everybody, Denise "DeDe" Lopez has sold more than 500.000 albums . She has released three albums, TBA (-95), I do (-97) and Metaphor (-99). All three albums blends soul, R&B and pop into a musical chili con carne.

On the first and second album, Denise co- wrote with Cheirons top producers Per Magnusson and David Kreuger. My lover and Get to you was co-written together with the same team and Max Martin (Britney Spears, N'sync, Celine Dion).

Famous song writer Herbie Chrislow has also been involved on all three albums.On Metaphor she worked with producers like Johan Ekhé and Ulf Lindström (Robyn) , Random in Gothenburgh (Lutricia Mc Neal, XLNS, A Teens) Sean " Barney " Thomas. (Dr.Dre. Snoop Doggy Dog). In November 99 Denise went to Japan to meet her fans for the first time. She did a show together with Diana King in Tokyo Dome for two days in a row. The attendance was 100 000 people.

In December of 1999 Denise left her record company Sony music Sweden to start her own.

Applalosa Entertainment AB license and distribute her album "Slave to the sound". The album was released in Japan under the title "Like a queen" (Epic) in July of 2002 and Sweden may 2003.

"Slave to the sound" contains 16 new tracks and is the first to be released under Denise's own label Appalos Entertainment.

Denise has co-written all songs but 5 tracks. Two of the songs was written by famous singer Dannii Minogue. This time Denise has teamed up with six different producers such as Hit Factory, Streamline, Stereopol, Jabajam, Jocke-E, Godspell and Moe.

Denise Lopez
Denise Lopez was born in Mexico City in 1972.

She has two sisters and three brothers.

The oldest brother Artie is a famous photographer in Los Angeles and in -97 shot the album cover of "I do". Sebastian, or "DJ ZEB" as he is called, is a famous DJ and producer in Sweden and has worked with Denise, Meja, 666, Emilia and others.

Her father is a music Producer and was VP of Walt Disney Records Latin America Division. He now runs his own publishing Company in Los Angeles. Her mother is a dance instructor and runs her own dance studio in Stockholm. She was a singer in her youth.

Denise herself has been dancing since she was a little girl and started acting when she was ten.

She started her carrier as a dancer and toured all around the world with Dr. Alban and Culture Beat between 1989-1994. During 1994, Denise signed her first deal with Sony Music Sweden under her nick name "DeDe" and recorded her first album "TBA" . The hit "Party" opened up the market in Japan and sold gold within a month.
