World Idol:
Congratulations Kurt, with the victory in World Idol!

SmsMP3 congratulates Kurt Nilsen with the World Idol victory. "The hobbit" Kurt is another evidence that people wants music and artists, not the kind of polished pictures like the record business claims. It's the artistic values and special apperances that people find interesting. Shortly, the World Idol victory was a message from the audience. The Idol competition and the winner is proof of that SmsMP3 and common concepts are the future for music distribution.

Kurt - artist for the people!

World Idol was sendt with only 11 finalists, but the concept has now been sold to 25 countries. Next year the final will be much bigger. Idol is a success! And we are proud that the first World Idol comes from Norway.

The founders and the record company behind Idol should probably get some thoughts out of this. The way they behave and the way the judge is not excactly the way of the audience. People, by their voting, has told the business that they don't like their behaviour or the artists that they give the most credit.
Maybe that is not so strange, since Kurt spoke about Will Young from England as an asshole who wouldn't say hello, and the american winner of idol, Kelly Clarkson, was disapointed and did not bother to say goodbye to Kurt after the final in London.

That kind of people and behaviour are not the kind of Idols we want.

Simon Fuller, founder of Idol, says he can solve the record business problem with filesharing and piracy by meeting specially the youth on their own ground about these problems. The Idol competition shows that he might succeed. Why is that? Because letting people decide by something as simple as voting by SMS is easy to use and understandable.

What will be the next? Selling mp3's by payiable SMS? We have had that for 3 years....

In the mean time we congratulate you Kurt! You were the best, simply because people says so. That's an important thing to think about when the record business critisize you....
