Nicola on SmsMP3 to BBC Radio Merseyside in Liverpool.
I really can’t believe that a quarter of a million listeners will be listening to “Don’t need you anymore” , today over in the North West of England, Nicola tells us. She did the interview with Roger Phillips from BBC Radio Merseyside in Liverpool.
Nicola's own words:
We talked about how I came to Norway, why I stayed and how Per Jakobsen and I managed to get involved with sending an entry “Don’t need you anymore” from J&M Audio design, to the Norwegian Grand Prix finals.
‘Yeap, it’s along story’ but anyway that’s not the point. The point is that, two Norwegain guy’s Lars Helland and Jan T. Johannessen took the opportunity and initiative, to create a site on the Internet. The idea was musicians, could promote their music. They came up with the idea for MP3 Grandprix, because like many others’s ourselves included, there are probably better and more professional entries that didn’t get accepted to the Norwegian finals.
I have listened to some of the entries, that didn’t get accepted and I feel shocked that there is so much undiscovered talent in Norway.
I suggest that International record companies pay attention to this site, as I feel there are a lot of potential ‘Norwegain Artists’ that have a career in music, just waiting to be ‘snapped up’.
Per and I run our own company, working with multimedia and creative solutions. Music is apart of our work and also a hobby. We wanted to promote this part of our work by sending in the entry. It worked, Thanks to Lars Helland and Jan T. Johannessen.
The link will take International visitors to the song’s ‘check it out’.
